全美江西同乡会简介

全美江西同乡会于 1986年 7月在纽约州政府登记注册正式成立，属于非营利、非政治性团体,创会至今已有 32 载。经由历届理事会领导班子成员们的努力工作，全美江西同乡会不断发展壮大，成员已由原来的 60余人发展到至今的 1000余人，全美江西同乡会已经成为在美国华人社团中最具有影响力的社团之一。

自上世纪七、八十年代开始，纽约开始涌现大量来自台湾、大陆的江西籍移民。岁月匆匆、沧海桑田，故土和新居都起了莫大的变化，来自江西的侨胞，日日忙着立足新土，皆为世事琐事所纷扰。然而，只有感受到「来的地方」的乡亲情谊，侨胞们才能在这片新土上找到安定。全美江西同乡会相即是在如此的背景和理念下诞生的。当时的美国还没有一个联谊江西乡亲的团体。在创会会长谢天乐先生的号召下，几位志同道合的同乡们一起带领江西籍的侨胞创建了全美江西同乡会。

本会创会宗旨为：1.联系乡谊、互助合作；2.协助同乡会及成员步入美国主流社会，并提升经济地位；3.幇助同乡共同解决生活上的疑难问题；4.积极参加社区活动，联合其他华人社团，争取华人应有的权益，共同促进社区的繁荣和发展；5.加强和江西家乡的联系，为促进家乡的经济发展，提高人民生活，以及中美文化、经济的交流，作出应有的贡献。

第一批创会人包括陈世才教授，卢旅书法家，吴明德会计，文纪洛会计师，熊光棠律师等。著名诗人作家谢天乐先生担任第一任会长。创会至今已有十一届执行委员会，十一位会长。他们分别是蔡光新先生，卢旅先生，徐立学先生，萧国材先生，钟国燕先生，丘振坤女士，邱焰辉先生, 曾斐先生, 邓忠良先生, 和现任会长黄旭先生。理事会理事长也传承了六届：陶绍尧先生，熊元建先生，李光义先生，萧国材先生，赵小明先生, 和现任理事长邱焰辉先生。

在走过的 40 年历程中，全美江西同乡会一直积极联系乡亲，发展乡情，巩固两岸协作，加强与祖国的联系。每年所组织的活动和聚会都会吸引很多 “找到家”的乡亲，最难能可贵的是历届新旧班子交接时，人人都极力让贤，相互推荐，互相帮助，无私奉献，才使得会务能够稳步和谐地发展。

全美江西同乡会每年举办各种活动，致力于提升社区内部合作，促进中美文化交流，包括信息交流，歌唱舞蹈比赛，春节晚会，集体出游，等等。为加强旅美江西同胞与家乡的联系，江西同乡会曾多次组团回到家乡进行文化和投资考察，同时也接待了来自江西省省级部门以及市，县等多个访美团体，为加强双边交流，互换投资信息，为投资项目穿针引线等做出了积极的贡献。并且在祖国需要的时候募集捐款。有记载的捐款活动包括：1998年九江决堤捐款，2003年沙士捐款，2004年印度洋海啸捐款，2005年 2008年两次北京奥运捐款，2005年九江地震赈灾捐款，2008 年四川地震赈灾捐款，2009年台湾水风灾捐款，2010年江西抚州水灾赈灾捐款，2013 年四川雅安地震捐款，2014 云南鲁甸地震捐款， 2017年南昌老乡严重车祸捐款等。江西同乡会的几位领导成员还为家乡贫困地区捐建了希望小学等教育工程，真正体现了海外侨胞对家乡发展的关心和支持。

About the Jiangxi Kinship Association, U.S.A.

The Jiangxi Kinship Association, U.S.A. was officially registered with the New York State government in July 1986 as a non-profit and non-political organization. Since its founding 40 years ago, the association has grown steadily through the dedicated efforts of successive leadership teams. Its membership has expanded from just over 60 people at the beginning to more than 1,000 today. The Association has become one of the most influential Chinese community organizations in the United States.

Starting in the 1970s and 1980s, many immigrants from Jiangxi Province—both from Taiwan and Mainland China—began settling in New York. Over the years, both their homeland and their new environment have changed greatly. Amid their busy efforts to establish new lives, these Jiangxi immigrants found that reconnecting with people from their hometown provided a sense of belonging and stability. It was in this context and spirit that the Association was founded. At that time, no organization existed in the U.S. to unite Jiangxi natives. Responding to the call of the founding president, Mr. Xie Tianle, several like-minded compatriots joined together to create the Jiangxi Kinship Association, U.S.A..

The founding mission of the association includes:

• Fostering fellowship and mutual assistance among Jiangxi natives.
• Helping members integrate into mainstream American society and improve their economic status.
• Assisting fellow countrymen in solving practical problems in daily life.
• Actively participating in community events, collaborating with other Chinese organizations to uphold Chinese community rights, and promoting community prosperity and development.
• Strengthening ties with the Jiangxi homeland and contributing to its economic growth, improving livelihoods, and promoting Sino-American cultural and economic exchange.

Throughout its 40-year history, the Association has devoted itself to fostering connections among Jiangxi compatriots, strengthening cross-strait cooperation, and maintaining close ties with the motherland. The association’s annual events and gatherings always attract many overseas Jiangxi natives who say they have “found a home.” The smooth and harmonious development of the organization owes much to each leadership team’s humility, cooperation, and spirit of selfless service during transitions.

Each year, the Association organizes various activities to enhance community cooperation and promote Sino-American cultural exchange, including information forums, singing and dance competitions, Lunar New Year galas, and group excursions. To reinforce the bond between overseas Jiangxi natives and their homeland, the association has repeatedly organized delegations to Jiangxi for cultural and investment exchanges and has also welcomed visiting delegations from Jiangxi. These efforts have strengthened bilateral communication, facilitated investment opportunities, and promoted mutual understanding.
